For those who grew up watching the classic, Home Alone, there’s something to be said about the joy of watching the movie for the first time. They love playing video games and spend most of their time away from their parents playing their favorite video games. The following day, the McCallister’s are invited to attend a Christmas party by the Royal family.
Harry and Marv break in, spring the traps, and suffer various injuries. While Harry and Marv pursue Kevin around the house, he calls the police and lures the duo into a vacant neighboring house which they had previously broken into. Harry and Marv ambush Kevin and prepare to get their revenge, but Marley intervenes and knocks them out with his snow shovel. The police arrive and arrest Harry and Marv, having identified all the houses that they broke into due to Marv's destructive habit of flooding them. By 1994, the actor was burnt out having appeared in 15 movies since the first release, and so took a hiatus from acting to try to live as normal a life as possible for a few years.

The ad recreates scenes from the original 1990 film, where Kevin shaves his face, jumps on his parents bed, and decorates a Christmas tree all while asking the Google Assistant to set reminders for him. Ralph Foody, Joe Pesci, and Daniel Stern also appear in their Home Alone roles via archival footage. Augustine Frizzell was hired to serve as director, with a script written by Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider based on the story concept by Fox Executive, Matt Reilly. The project was to be a joint-venture production under Reynolds' Fox-based Maximum Effort Productions, while George Dewey serving as an executive producer. The premise of the proposed project was stated as 'reminiscent of the hallowed comedy classic'. The plot centers on a weed-growing 'loser' who misses his plane for a holiday skiing trip.
John Hughes’ screenplays focusing on Kevin have become a Christmas tradition. Home Alone grossed $476.7 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing live-action comedy until the release of The Hangover Part II , and made Culkin a child star. It is the first film in the Home Alone franchise, and stars Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, John Heard, and Catherine O’Hara. Home Alone follows Kevin McCallister as he defends his home from burglars Harry and Marv after his family accidentally leaves him behind in Chicago on their vacation to Paris. It sold 11 million copies, generating Fox revenue of $150 million making it, along with E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, the highest-selling video of all time at that point. Due to the sales, the film did not perform as well in the rental market. Kate realizes mid-flight that Kevin was left behind, and upon arrival in Paris, the family discovers that all flights for the next two days are booked, and that the phone lines are still down back home in Chicago. Peter and the rest of the family stay in his brother's apartment in Paris, while Kate manages to get a flight back to Scranton, Pennsylvania. She tries to find a flight to Chicago, but all the flights are booked.
Immediately after, the rest of the McCallisters, having traveled directly from Paris to Chicago, arrive. Kevin keeps silent about his encounter with Harry and Marv, although Peter finds Harry's missing gold tooth and wonders what it is. He then goes over to the window and sees Marley greeting his son and his family. However, Buzz interrupts him by calling out, "Kevin! What did you do to my room?" He immediately runs there and the film ends. Meanwhile, Kevin wakes up to find the house empty and is overjoyed to find that his wish came true.

Warner demanded that it be cut by $1.2 million; the producers responded with a memo arguing that the budget could not be cut any further. Unconvinced, Warner shut down production the next day, but it quickly resumed when Fox took up Hughes on his offer. Meanwhile, on Christmas Eve, Harry and Marv finally realize that only Kevin is in the McCallister home, and Kevin overhears them discussing plans to break into the house that night.
The commercial contains shot for shot remakes of scenes from the film. Google Assistant helps Kevin set up the house to look active by remotely turning on lights, devices, and setting up cutouts of people, to have the thieves parked in a van outside steer clear of the house. Additionally, Joe Pesci also reprised his role as Harry, only for his voice making a small cameo.
One day, sometime around 2015, Kevin had to step in for his wife at her job, as she had incapacitated herself earlier by doing "too much blow". He picked up Jack, and when they were attacked by a car jacker, Kevin managed to tie him up and bring him to a dingy garage, where the car jacker was tied back with Christmas lights. Jack went to leave, but Kevin told him to stay, and Kevin proceeded to torture the car jacker who he believed was a home invader, dancing around in the car jacker's blood and acting deranged. Before they came, Kevin went to see a Santa Claus impersonator.
They chase him out of the house and he flees to the vacant neighboring home. The Wet Bandits catch him when he runs to the top of the stairs and hang him on a coat hook on the door. Marley has sneaked up behind them and knocks them out with a snow shovel and takes Kevin home. The arrangement went well for the most part, except for the time when dad John, returning home, pulled his car into the driveway and walked in as a scene was being filmed. Not only that, but the crew had to take care to avoid having his car and tire marks in the snow footage they were shooting.
According to Culkin, while rehearsing for the scene near the end of the movie when the Wet Bandits finally manage to catch Kevin and threaten to bite all his fingers off, Pesci accidentally really did bite him. As of a 2004 interview with Rule Forty Two, Culkin still bore the scar from his co-star’s mistake. However, its owners were clearly expecting more for the iconic property; its original listing price was $2.4 million. Although there have been five more movies in the series, the concept still amuses viewers and there is no reason the makers would stop making any more Home Alone movies. The Home Alone franchise has been a staple in the world of children’s Christmas movies for 31 years.
